I'm Jade Borra, an illustrator and comic artist located in the Netherlands. Currently I am studying Comic Design at ArtEZ Zwolle. 

My main interests lie in the goth and the macabre, in fantastical fiction, and in representing marginalized groups, like the LGBT and the chronically ill.

All my life I've been creating my own worlds, surrounding myself with books, movies and art. As a chronically ill, neurodivergent and frankly kind of odd kid I got a lot of support out of those fictional settings. Because of those experiences, I aspire to be the kind of artist that can supply that same support to other odd kids around the world. 

 

I work with both traditional and digital media and feel equally comfortable with both. My artistic strengths lie in character design, emoting, body language and historical fashion. I have a bold, steady hand when it comes to line art, and I prefer working with simple shapes, over intricate detailing.

I learn new techniques quickly and easily, and I'm open to everything.
